Print ~ And Now the Shipping Forecast
Delightful contemporary nautical image.
A stunning design of by talented artist, Tabitha Mary. Tabitha's art revisits a classic era of poster design, taking many elements of popular 1930's travel art, while remaining current and vibrant.
The Shipping Forecast was first broadcast in the 1920s its intended objective was to warn seafarers of impending storms and gales. Its solemn, rhythmic tones has inspired poems, songs, novels and artists. As familiar though the sea areas are by name, few of us give much thought to where they are. This contemporary design plays with the words found in the shipping forecast in a modern and graphic style; it’s bound to be a conversation starter.
