The International maritime signal flags are used to send messages and signals to or from ships. This graphic print shows the Flag alphabet, but of course there are various methods by which the flags can be used as signals. Either letter by letter, or each individual flag has its own specific meaning, for example the “A Flag” indicates a vessels inability to move from its current position.
